## How to help
If you want to help us beyond buying a meal or meals for your family or
spreading the word about these events, we have several opportunities for
volunteers. You do not need to commit to helping for the whole Lenten season;
any help is appreciated.
### Banquet Hall setup
We need help setting up dining tables in the banquet hall on either Thursday
evening or early Friday afternoon.
### Food Preparation
* Catfish - We need someone with one free hour on Friday mornings to set out
the catfish thaw and someone with 3-4 hours early Friday afternoon before the
Fish Fry to prepare the catfish fillets for both grilling and frying.
* Cole slaw, baked beans, baked potatoes, hush puppies, and garlic bread - We
need a team of people to prepare the side dishes about 3-4 hours early Friday
afternoon before the Fish Fry.
* Fries and grillers - We usually use the cook shack to grill and fry our
catfish and to fry hush puppies and French fries while the other side dishes
are cooked in the kitchen. Fish needs to be cooked starting at one our before
the Fish Fry.
### Food Service
We need help serving food to those dining in with us and carrying meals out. We
also need someone to make sure the servers have food to serve and to bring out
fresh trays of food. Starts about one hour before the Fish Fry.
### Clean Up
After the event is over, we need help cleaning up the hall and kitchen,
especially if there is an event scheduled for Saturday.
